Privacy summary

What we collect. Your name and email (from Google sign-in), your roofing role, region, years of experience, the sectors you work in, your company, and the materials/brands you install. We also record your learning activity on the Hub (questions answered, scores, badges, streaks).

Why. To run your account, show you relevant learning content, produce aggregated industry reports for RANZ, and — if you agree — share aggregated (never individual) stats with suppliers who sponsor learning content. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it. While your account is active. If you delete your account, we anonymise your identifiers immediately; aggregated activity is kept 12 months then hard-deleted.

Who else sees it. Our service providers (Neon, Vercel, Cloudflare, Google) to run the Hub. Suppliers see aggregated stats only, with a minimum cohort of 10 installers. Government only if the law requires.

Your rights. Access your data, correct it, withdraw consent, delete your account — any time, from your account settings. Complaints: privacy@ranz.co.nz, then Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz, 0800 803 909).

AI features. Questions you type into "Ask", photos you attach, and answers you flag as wrong are processed by our AI provider (Ollama Cloud) to generate the response and to help RANZ admins improve the content.
